Cooking is my passion.  I have enjoyed cooking for my family and friends for many years.  I thought it would be a great idea to share some of my most popular recipes with other home cooks.  You will find that they are all super-easy to make and delicious.  We always say in my house, "It doesn't have to be fancy to be good." I recently have had to add some gluten-free recipes into my diet as well.  These can be very tricky, so after a lot of trial and error, I can share some that are really great and don't break the bank.  Have fun!

Pier 8 Seafood Bar & Grill - West Palm Beach, FL

My husband and I enjoyed a Sunday morning shopping expedition and found ourselves looking for lunch while we were out and about.  We came across Pier 8 Seafood Bar & Grill and though we should give it a try. We started out looking for a glass of wine for me and a beer for my husband. While there seems to be an extensive bar menu including liquor and draft beers as well as bottled beers, the wine selection is sadly very limited with a house Pinot Grigio, Moscato and a Merlot as a red. The waitress was unable to tell me which brands they carried and there was no wine list on the menu that I could find.  I settled for the Merlot and have to say it was definitely not a good one.  My husband's draft beer was cold and he was happy with it. Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza

  My husband and flew in for a funeral and decided to stay downtown so that we would be close to good restaurants and see some sights. When we first arrived, the bellman could not have been more helpful. He went out of his way to help us by taking our bags and directing us to the parking lot since valet parking is not currently allowed. When we checked in, the front desk clerk treated us like VIPs, explained all the details about the hotel and put us in a beautiful room. She also offered to arrange a tour of the hotel if we wanted it. Now let’s talk about this property. OMG! It is a stunning jewel which has so much architectural beauty it takes your breath away. The rich history of this hotel was such an unexpected treat, we almost forgot we were not there on vacation.
